How Lykke Pocket calculates PnL?

There are many ways to calculate PnL, and different people have different preferences. Lykke chose one of these ways to calculate it, but you might prefer a different one. If so, feel free to ignore the PnL screen.

• The PnL screen does not impact anything. What matters are your balances and positions. If the PnL does not line up with your calculations but the balances and positions do, you are probably just using a different PnL metric than Lykke. That's fine!
  
• Because different users have different preferences for how to calculate PnL, Lykke will not provide support on reconciling the PnL screen with your records.  Instead Lykke will support you in ensuring that your balances and positions are correct; those are what matter.
  
• For now, Lykke does not count any deposits, or withdrawals towards your PnL. Later, Lykke intends to calculate PnL also by looking at the changes in the value of your entire account, treating a deposit as a 'purchase' and a withdrawal as a 'sale'. 
  
• PnL screen is showing the value in your reporting currency. The PnL from all trades is calculated using the actual spot FX rates to convert values into your reporting currency.
  
• Lykke's mission is to create conditions for a more democratic financial system in which everyone can exchange any kind of assets freely and instantly. As a result, Lykke does not charge any trading fees. 

You can use the Lykke Pocket PnL screen  as a reference if it's helpful, but your balances and positions are what matter in the end.

Calculation:

Lykke marks the value of all spot trades to the end of each day.  So if you bought 1 LyCI token when LyCI token was trading at CHF 100, and then LyCI's price rises to CHF 260, you'll have CHF +160 of PnL.  Similarly if you sold 2 ETH/CHF for CHF 135 and then ETH increases in price to CHF 195, you'll have CHF -120 of PnL.
